MailTick AI Summary
Plain-English overview of these Terms of Service
This summary is for convenience only. The full Terms of Service below is the legally binding version.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MailTick’s email and related services (“Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
MailTick provides secure, encrypted email and productivity features including labels, calendar, tasks, file search, and optional AI tools. We strive to keep the Service available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use MailTick.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- Notify us promptly at support@mail-tick.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Privacy and encryption
- Email encryption. MailTick is built to encrypt your email in transit and at rest. Protecting the confidentiality of your messages is a core part of the Service.
- No sale of personal data. We do not sell your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how we use it.
- No advertising. We do not run ads in the Service.
4. AI features and LLM services
Some MailTick features use artificial intelligence. MailTick uses third-party LLM API services to power summaries, search, chat, and similar tools — you do not connect or supply your own API keys.
- When you use AI features, limited content you select may be sent to our LLM provider partners to fulfill your request.
- We send only what is needed for the specific AI task you trigger.
- AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should review important decisions and communications before relying on AI-generated content.
- AI features are optional. You may use MailTick without them.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use MailTick to:
- Send spam, phishing, malware, or unlawful content;
- Harass, abuse, or violate the rights of others;
- Attempt to bypass security, probe systems without authorization, or disrupt the Service;
- Violate applicable laws or regulations.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or pose a security or legal risk.
6. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed according to the pricing shown at signup or on our website.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Prices may change with reasonable notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods.
- Taxes may apply depending on your location.
7. Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support@mail-tick.com.
- 5-day refund policy. If you are a new paying subscriber, you may request a full refund within 5 days of your initial purchase. Contact support within that window and we will process your refund.
- After the 5-day period, fees already paid are generally non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion in exceptional cases.
- Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period unless otherwise stated.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of the emails, files, and other content you store in MailTick. You grant us a limited license to host, transmit, and process your content solely to provide and secure the Service — including encryption, backup, delivery, and features you enable (such as AI tools).
9. Intellectual property
MailTick, our logo, software, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or software except as needed to use the Service.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MailTick and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD $100), whichever is greater.
12. Termination
You may stop using MailTick and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or if continued provision creates legal or security risk. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, subject to sections that by nature should survive.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to MailTick’s place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
